Journey to Mars - Is it real?
Location: Blue Sage
Time: 5:30pm to 7pm
Description:

Presented by Dr. Barbara Adams, NASA Solar System Ambassador

For thousands of years, Mars has captured the human imagination. Ancient civilizations saw it as a mysterious red light moving across the night sky. Today, it represents something far greater—a destination that could become humanity's next giant leap.

The journey to Mars is more than a mission to another planet. It is a story of exploration, innovation, courage, and survival. It challenges us to solve problems that have never been solved before: how to travel millions of miles through deep space, how to keep humans alive in a hostile environment, and how to build a future on a world that has never hosted human life.

Every advance we make on the path to Mars expands our understanding of science, technology, and ourselves. The same spirit that carried explorers across oceans, pilots into the skies, and astronauts to the Moon is now driving us toward the Red Planet.  We’ll look at the science behind Artemis 2 and 3, and why are there so many complications for us to solve?

We'll explore what it takes to make this extraordinary journey possible, the challenges that lie ahead, and why reaching Mars may be one of the most important adventures in human history.

Presentation is from 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm, and Q+A is from 6:30 pm - 7:00 pm.
