Meets every Sunday in the Blue Sage room from 8:30 am to 9:30 am.

The creation of a community fellowship in HTC is first and foremost to honor God. Secondly the service will bring the living Word of God to a simple service time for my neighbors in HTC and help to create relationships  and encouragement with our neighbors that enables us to help identify their needs. We will focus on both spiritual and physical needs of our neighbors by connecting their needs to willing neighbors who would assist in filling those needs.
Our community is place of great opportunity to show the goodness of God by helping our neighbors in their times of need.

Hiking Club

August hikes

Tuesday, August 6: Chavez and Beaver Brook Loop
Meet at 8:15 for 8:30am departure from Clubhouse
Leader Robert Richardt

This 5-mile hike features amazing views of the canyon, brook, and surrounding mountains. From the trailhead, we’ll hike down into the canyon on the Beaver Brook trail, hike alongside the Beaver Brook, and ascend back to the Beaver Brook trail (and trailhead) using the Chavez trail. This hike requires some scrambling and hiking on several narrow ledges. Ascending the Chavez trail requires an 1,100 foot climb over 2.1 miles. This is considered a moderate hike. If it’s a hot day, this is a difficult hike. There is no shorter option here. Bring hiking boots, layers, sun protection, liquids, and trail lunch.

Tuesday, August 13: Lake Isabel via Pawnee Pass
Meet at 6:45 for 7:00am departure from Clubhouse
Leader Mike FallonLa

This hike to Lake Isabelle is in The Brainard Lake National Recreation Area which requires parking reservations. If driving you can reserve your spot using recreation.gov beginning July 30th. Select the Brainard Lake Picnic site/trailhead and the 8:00am time slot. This is a beautiful 6.7 mile hike with 672 feet of elevation gain beginning at 10,325 feet and ending at 10,955 feet. We will also have a shorter hike around Long lake that is 5 miles and only a 400 ft. elevation gain. Due to the altitude those with breathing issues may want to opt for the shorter hike or wait for the next hike.

Tuesday, August 20: Miller Rock via Ceran St. Vrain Trail
Meet at 8:15 for 8:30am departure from Clubhouse
Leader Robert Richardt

Located in Roosevelt National Forrest, this , 1,000-foot gain, lollipop-style hike features great views of the St. Vrain Creek and the northern mountains, including Long’s Peak. From the trailhead, we’ll hike alongside the St. Vrain Creek for almost two miles before ascending the loop trail to Miller Rock, where we can enjoy lunch while admiring the amazing views. This hike requires some easy scrambling and is considered a moderate hike. For a shorter day, do the out-and-back alongside the creek (without ascending to Miller Rock) for a total of 3.7 miles and 471 feet of elevation gain. Bring hiking boots, layers, sun protection, liquids, and trail lunch.

Tuesday, August 27th: Gem Lake Trail
Meet at 6:45 for 7:00am departure
Leader Mike Fallon/Cathy Giugliano

This hike in rocky Mountain National Park near Estes Park is an out and back hike of 3.2 miles, with an elevation gain of 987 feet. Although short it is considered moderately challenging due to elevation gain and some rocky areas and climbing steps. Starting elevation is 7852 feet and the top is 8831 feet and it is all uphill to the top. There is a rest room near the top which is very basic, but functional. This hike features pretty views and interesting rock formations. Due to the lower elevation this hike can get warm so plenty of water is a must. Due to the short length of the hike there will not be a shorter option. The hike begins before the main entrance to the park so reservations will not be necessary but early time is advised to avoid heat and crowd

The Hiking Club does not meet onsite at the Clubhouse, but is very active hiking in the mountains (mostly) every 7-14 days.

With the weather warming our hikes are warming up  too.  Most of the May hikes are a bit more challenging.  To facilitate communication we have a Facebook Group Page if you are interested.  We have three hikes scheduled for May with no hike scheduled the week of Memorial Day.

View the full 2024 Hike Schedule HERE
View the schedule for May HERE

The hiking club schedules hikes between from mid-April to mid-October. We meet in the club house parking lot to car pool to the trailhead. Most of the scheduled hikes are rated as moderate with a shorter option available for many of the hikes. It is the responsibility of each hiker to know their own limits and come prepared. An email will be sent to each member the week before the hike with meeting time, hike details, and directions. This information will also be published in the Tuesday E-Blast. To be added to our mailing list or for questions please contact Amy Downey at amyjdowney53@gmail.com.

We have created a list of club guidelines which we hope will be helpful!

  • No club meetings, no dues
  • Hike schedule runs between mid April and late October.  Schedules may be adjusted due to weather, trail conditions, road conditions, and hike leader availability.
  • You are responsible for determining your readiness for the harder hikes.  You should be at least moderately fit.  Some hikes will be at high elevations with elevation gain and rocky conditions. Know your limitations and put safety first!
  • Hike descriptions will be emailed to club members by the hike leader and will also be posted in the weekly club news e-blast.  When possible there will be an easier alternative to the harder hikes.  This information will also be included in emails and the club e-blast.
  • Carpooling is encouraged.  We meet at the clubhouse parking lot for each hike.  Please arrive 15 minutes prior to scheduled departure time for organizing carpooling.  It is recommended you offer your driver at least $5 to help cover gas, entry fees, and road tolls.  If an alternative hike is offered try to carpool with a driver doing the same hike as you.
  • Each hike will have a hike leader who will determine departure time, send out the information email, and ensure all hikers are accounted for.  If you determine you cannot finish a hike you MUST advise the hike leader or sweep and have someone accompany you back to the trailhead/ parking area.
  • Expect some early departure times due to heat, crowded trail conditions, parking availability and the threat of afternoon thunderstorms.
  • Be prepared! Bring plenty of water, snacks, rain gear, sunscreen, etc.  Wear sturdy, waterproof footwear.  Many of us also find hiking poles helpful. Download or bring trail maps as some trails are marked more clearly than others.  Helpful apps for trail information include All Trails and COTREX.
  • Be respectful!  Carry all trash out with you and stay on established trails to avoid erosion. Be respectful of wildlife and follow good trail etiquette.
  • Have fun!!  Hiking isn’t always easy but it IS always worth it.

We are a group of around 40 households, with various levels of RV experience, owning different types of rigs and vehicles for our recreational enjoyment.

To Join: Please contact us on FaceBook or at htcrvclub@gmail.com. We do have a $20 annual dues payable to join and again annually each camping season.

Through our experiences we are building resource information on  both websites regarding great camping destinations, campgrounds, help with technical and problem questions, storage solutions,  RV insurance, best vehicle service providers, all used and recommended by our members.
To join please contact us online or by email.  The only requirements are that you must live in Heritage Todd Creek, own an RV, and be fun loving.

HTC Tennis Group Procedures

The Vision
Maintain an enjoyable tennis experience based on good sportsmanship and respect for fellow players. Attract and retain all levels of tennis players from our community and grow membership. Provide both social "drop in" and scheduled "match play" tennis opportunities.
The Play
Monday, Wednesday and Friday informal "drop in" social tennis for all levels of play on two courts. Hours are adjusted by season. Monday, Wednesday, and Friday "match play" for four (or eight) players with opportunity for slightly more competitive play. Players are solicited and schedules by the match coordinator. A match play eligible player list will be maintained by the Advisory Committee.
Saturday Play
Social tennis for all levels. The Saturday play coordinator solicits 4-6 players for play Saturday morning on one court. Hours adjusted seasonally.
Communication
All players must provide telephone/text, email, and address (optional) to the communications coordinator. The contact list is updated regularly and provided to all HTC tennis group members. Email is the primary means of communication which includes solicitation for play (match play and Saturday play), communication regarding court conditions, cancellations, and re-scheduling, and other general information of interest to players. All players are expected to communicate on a "need-to-know" basis.
HTC Tennis Information
HTC tennis group information is published and communictaed to players and the HTC community through the HTC newsletter, flyers in clubhouse, and posted at the courts.
Organization
The HTC Tennis Group is led by an Overall Coordinator and a voluntary four player Advisory Committee

If you would like to be added to the HTC TRAVEL CLUB mailing list or would like more information on upcoming trips, please send an email to lisa.hulbert@frosch.com.

Our goal is to educate our members about wine while they participate in events that the Wine Board organizes about 4 times each year.  Members of the board are:
  • Beth and Paul Ozanich
  • Debra and Steve Clouten
  • Jan and Ron Romich
  • Tony and Denise Lombardi
  • Kay & Wade Little
  • Patti & Frank Fichera

To reach us, interested residents can send email to HTCwineclub@gmail.com .  We will send a membership form and instructions on how to join.
We require members to read and sign the membership form and pay $10 for their membership (not an annual fee, just one time at this point).  Each event costs the participant exactly what we pay to host it, and board members pay full price as well.  We use a mailing list to notify members only of upcoming events, costs, and space limitations, if any.  Board members are all volunteers.

Wine and Dine Group

CASUAL MONTHLY GET-TOGETHER

The Wine and Dine Group meets the 2nd Saturday of every month. This is a casual get-together with 10-12 people at residents' homes. Everyone brings a HEARTY appetizer and a bottle of wine to share. If you are not a wine drinker, no problem, just bring your beverage of choice. This is not meant to be a wine group - the emphasis is on getting to meet "new" people, not on the wine. Members of this group need to host a minimum of 2 times a year.

WOMEN’S BIBLE STUDY—FALL 2024

All women in HTC are invited to join the Fall 2024 Bible study.
“NO OTHER GODS: The Unrivaled Pursuit of Christ” by Kelly Minter
We often think of idols as ancient graven images or golden calves, but God’s people still battle idolatry every day.  Our idols look more familiar—money, fame, power, work, ministry, and people.  As you identify your modern-day idols and dethrone them, you’ll discover that Jesus can do what no other god can.

o   The study is 8 weeks long and includes a weekly video and class sessions using a study book with daily lessons.
o   Thursdays, September 12—October 31, 2024
o   OR Fridays, September 13—November 1, 2024
o   9:30 AM until 11:30 AM
o   HTC Clubhouse

When you purchase your book, please make sure you are getting Kelly’s updated version!  (In our last study, the updated version was quite different!)  Here is the Amazon link to the 2023 version which also includes free video access:

If you would like to attend, contact Deb Erickson to register or if you have questions. Please specify the Thursday or Friday morning class.
