CASA Virtual Presentation
Monday, August 10th | 6:00pm-7:15pm | Contact Abbie Foley at abbie@casa17th.com or 720-277-9112 to register
Join us for a virtual CASA presentation on Monday, August 10th from 6:00-7:15 PM via ZOOM! Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) is a volunteer-based, nonprofit organization that trains and supports community volunteers, CASAs, to represent the best interests of child victims of abuse and neglect that are currently in the judicial system. CASA Volunteers ensure that the child's physical, mental, educational, and emotional needs are being met, and advocate for the child in court, all the while supporting them in the journey to find a safe and permanent home. In Adams and Broomfield Counties, there are approximately 1,100 children waiting for someone like YOU to be their voice and speak up for them in court. At this virtual presentation, you will hear from members of the CASA Team about the important work our Advocates are doing in the community, the application and training process, and how we are moving forward with advocacy during the COVID-19 pandemic. To register, please contact Abbie Foley at abbie@casa17th.com or 720-277-9112.

Before the start of each round, the Host will put a link in the chat area of the screen, that link will lead you to the answer sheet for the round. Each round will have a new answer sheet link
- Do Not type your answers in the chat area. Everyone can see that. :-)
- Yes, you can contact the host & other players privately if you want. There will be a scroll down of names and just choose who you want to talk to privately. It looks like this next to the name (Privately)
- No Cheating!! No Google. Only use your team members to try to figure out the answer.
- Cocktails will enhance gameplay.
- Final Round is worth double points per question. If you answer a question incorrectly you will get zero for the final round. This rule is only for the final round!!
- The host can not hear you. They will have you muted. If you have a question, ask in the chat area or unmute yourself to ask.

Garden Flag Decorating Contest - Display and Voting Begins
Saturday, August 15th, 2020, All Day Event
Garden Flag Decorating Contest
Our next community contest has arrived in the form of a garden flag decorating contest! We have a limited supply of garden flags for those wanting to participate. Flags are $5 each, made of polyester, measure 12 inches by 18 inches, and are available at the Front Desk. They also have a dark liner in the middle so that you can decorate both sides! Due to the popularity of this contest, we have ordered additional flags so there is no longer a limit of one per household. Additional flags are arriving next week!
Flags may be decorated using any medium or materials you would like, the sky is the limit so let your creativity lead the way! Flags are available for pick up now through August 14th (or until supplies run out).
Starting August 15th, we are asking that those who have decorated a flag display them on their lamppost or in their front yard for neighbors to see. These will need to be displayed through the end of August for voting purposes. We will be providing a list of participants addresses for residents to drive around and then vote on their favorite! There will be a prize for the winner so break out the glue gun and get creative!

Bodhi Battalion’s Golf4Vets
Friday, August 28th, 2020, 8am at Todd Creek Golf Course
The Bodhi Battalion’s Golf4Vets fundraiser is very much still on for Friday, August 28 at Todd Creek Golf Course. Golf will be a scramble starting at 8:00 AM and will be followed by lunch, awards, and prize drawings. The cost is $150 per player and includes golf, breakfast, lunch, and some great raffle prizes and silent auction items.
We will be following the recommendations from various local and state health agencies to have a safe event in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. This may include alternative plans for breakfast and lunch, 1 person per golf cart, etc. These plans will be determined this summer based on the then-current conditions.
The COVID-19 pandemic has put a strain on all of us, and our veterans in need of support are particularly vulnerable in this difficult period. Please sign up and pay to play in Golf4Vets as soon as you can. Support for veterans is badly needed right now and your contributions are incredibly important to provide this support. Please contact Mike McTigue or Greg McSwain to register yourself or a team. Checks are preferred for payment and can be made out to Bodhi Battalion.
Thanks so much for your support!

We are looking for 16 people to help so let’s show them our HTC pride and try and fill the slots with our residents!
Details: Tournament kicks off at 8:00 am so volunteers will be reporting and ready to work before 8:00 am depending on your position.
