Join Active Minds as we tell the stories of the original inhabitants of Colorado. From Mesa Verde to the high plains, we will trace the civilizations of the Ute, Cheyenne, Arapaho, Pueblo and other tribes as we seek to understand Colorado's Native American history and legacy.

Family Feud Style Trivia

Survey says you should join HTC Lifestyle for Family Feud Trivia Night! It was so popular in April that participants demanded we bring it back and we listened!

Ever watch Family Feud on TV and think, “that would be fun”? Now is your chance to play! HTC Lifestyle is bringing back Brian Collins of Excalibur Entertainment to HTC for a Family Feud-style trivia night. You and your team of 6 get to answer questions based on what you think the top survey answers are. For example – question: Name something people are afraid of? Top Survey Answers: spiders, heights, other people, dying, the dark, ghosts, snakes, the IRS, being alone, and their boss/getting fired. 
This event was very popular last time so gather your team of 6 and RSVP today! If you don’t have teammates, we will have tables set aside for those who need teammates. It’s $5 per person to play and prizes will be provided to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place teams. 
 

Independence Day Festival

Join us as we celebrate Independence Day the HTC way! We have a fun day filled with lots of events and fun!

 

• HTC Crooners performance at the gazebo.

• Golf Cart Parade departs Clubhouse parking lot—cars and motorcycles welcome! Will return to Clubhouse between 1:00pm and 1:30pm.

• Mike Dixon from Tripwire will be playing as the “one-man-band” at the gazebo. We will also have the following activities: 3 caricaturists, 2 glitter tattoo artists, 1 balloon artist, lawn games, and indoor putting games.

 

Join us every Monday from May through September for Food Truck Mondays. Food Trucks will be set up on the HOA side of the Clubhouse parking lot and serve food from 4:00-7:00pm.

BuzzBox Mobile Barbershop​ is a new way to get your "grooming on". They bring a mobile shop and are set up for basic cuts. While they don't wash or style, they are ready to help fix a bad quarantine haircut or trim your hair back to its pre-COVID glory. There will be one stylist on site with only one client in the mobile shop at a time to adhere to current guidelines. Book online and be notified 15 minutes before your haircut. It's easy, convenient, and sets you up for success. Do you have mobility issues? Contact Heather (hshay@ccmcnet.com) and let her know you are interested but cannot get into the mobile unit. We are working on setting up some times where they will come into the Clubhouse for those who have access issues.

Centura Health Virtually Presents: Hernias - Symptoms, Causes and Treatments

Join Centura Health's Dr. Bryan Baer to learn about the symptoms and treatments associated with Hernias as well as when to seek care before an emergent situation. Bryan G. Baer, MD, is board-certified in the specialty of General Surgery by the American Board of Surgery and is also a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He has been in private practice since 1991 and specializes in minimally invasive (laparoscopic) surgery. Dr. Baer received his undergraduate degree from Harvard University and attended Medical School at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. He completed his internship at the Medical College of Virginia and his residency at the University of Colorado in Denver.  This lecture is brought to you by HTC community sponsor, Centura Health.

Join HTC Lifestyle for our New Homeowner Social Hour Event! The event will take place on the patio – those looking to eat are asked to reserve a table through Zingers. There will be a limited menu served that evening. Those not eating should bring blankets and chairs to sit on the lawn. This event is designed for both new and old homeowners alike! We realize it can be hard to meet new people so all residents are invited to attend, regardless of how long you have lived in the community.

Yard of the month is back!

This contest runs in May, June, July, August, and September! Please submit pictures and the address of the house you would like to nominate. These entries will then be put to a vote in our weekly e-blast! The house with the most votes gets a gift card.
Submissions go to Heather Shay via email at hshay@ccmcnet.com or Mallory Shields at mshields@ccmcnet.com no later than the 15th of each month in which a contest is held.

Feeling lucky? Join us for a few friendly hands of Texas Hold ‘Em and try your luck against friends and neighbors! Players of all skill levels are welcome.  A maximum of 32 participants can register. Buy-in paid at the tournament.

They will be held via Zoom until the Clubhouse is fully re-open. Then they will be in the Craft Room from 2 pm-4 pm.

Colorectal cancer is one of the most commonly diagnosed cancers in the United States. Join Or. Ben Foreman to learn about prevention and the full range of the latest treatment options. Dr. Foreman was born and raised in Cincinnati OH, along with his 3 sisters. He went on to earn his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science from Ohio State University. After moving to Denver, he elected to stay in Colorado and attend medical school at Rocky Vista University in Parker, CO. Estate planning can be a complicated subject.  Providing clarity and knowledge, on Wednesday, June 28 at 6:00 p.m. at the Clubhouse, Lynn Bird, estate planning attorney and Anthem Ranch resident, will give a presentation covering a variety of estate planning topics, including: 
Wills and trusts, General powers of attorney, Medical powers of attorney, Living wills, Medical directives, 
Beneficiary designations for life insurance and retirement accounts, Probate, estate, and inheritance tax laws
Participants are encouraged to ask questions during and after the presentation. There will be a wine giveaway.

Summer is here and HTC Lifestyle has teamed up with Zingers Restaurant to bring an elevated concert lineup for our 2021 Summer Concert Series! These bands are better than ever and we can’t wait for you to join us! Admission is free for those sitting on the lawn area —residents will need to bring their own blanket or chair as none will be provided. For those looking to eat or sit on the patio, tables will have a $40 table minimum and a limited menu on nights of the concerts. Please contact Zingers to reserve your table for the event.
