It’s time to “step” it up and get active for summer! Join us for our 300-mile challenge today! Sign up at any point from now through the end of July to participate. Each participant will be given a log to track their miles when they sign up and everyone who participates will get a prize.

Summer is on the horizon and HTC Lifestyle has teamed up with Zingers Restaurant to bring an elevated concert lineup for our 2021 Summer Concert Series! The June 3rd show will feature That 80’s Band, named the top cover band in Denver by CBS. General Admission ticketholders will need to bring their own blanket or chair. They will also have the option of purchasing the buffet of the evening for $15 extra. The buffet for June 3rd is: Sloppy Joes, Pasta Salad, Chicken Pot Pie Casserole, Pizza Rolls, and Jello Poke Cake. Patio VIP tickets reserve a seat at the table on the patio for a great view with food and drink service to your table. If you have fewer people in your party than the number shown for table capacity, another party may be seated at your table with you. If you would like to sit with certain people, please purchase all seats at one time. Payment must be made at the time of reservation. *Please note that tables cannot be reserved through OpenTable for these events - tickets must be purchased at the restaurant.* All tickets (general admission and VIP) must be purchased through Zingers Restaurant.

 

It has been over 75 years since “D-Day”. Join Active Minds for a look at this crucial turning point in World War II. We will examine the dynamics that led up to the Invasion of Normandy, the complicated and challenging preparation process, and the decisive impact this battle had upon the outcome of the war.

A lot of people dove right into spring cleaning this year and are not sure how to get rid of all their stuff! For items too large for the normal trash collection service, we will have dumpsters arriving at the HTC clubhouse parking lot on Monday, June 7th. Residents are invited to come up and dispose of their large items. Items not permitted are the following: appliances, large electronics (TVs), and hazardous materials such as paint, batteries, chemicals, flammables, etc. Dumpsters will be in the parking lot through Friday, June 11th or until they are full—whichever happens first.

BuzzBox Mobile Barbershop​ is a new way to get your "grooming on". They bring a mobile shop and are set up for basic cuts. While they don't wash or style, they are ready to help fix a bad quarantine haircut or trim your hair back to its pre-COVID glory. There will be one stylist on site with only one client in the mobile shop at a time to adhere to current guidelines. Book online and be notified 15 minutes before your haircut. It's easy, convenient, and sets you up for success.

Cleaning out old documents and don’t want your personal information at risk? Hoarding old electronics that you no longer use but don’t know how to get rid of? Come up to the Clubhouse parking lot where we will have a shredding truck on site ready to properly dispose of your sensitive information free of charge. We will also have an e-cycle company happy to take your old electronics off your hands for $5 per carload to be paid to the vendor at time of drop-off. Bad Candy is coming back to HTC and is ready to rock! Let them satisfy your music sweet tooth with the smooth tunes for this free outdoor concert on the patio! Table seating will be first-come-first-serve with no food service provided. Residents should bring a blanket or a lawn chair just in case the patio is full as no seating will be provided. We will also have our Food Truck Mondays taking place from 4:00pm-7:00pm in the Clubhouse Parking Lot so come early to stake out your spot and grab a bite before the show starts! The food trucks for the evening will be Steubens and Sweet Cow Ice Cream. No RSVP needed!

 

Yard of the month is back!

This contest runs in May, June, July, August, and September! Please submit pictures and the address of the house you would like to nominate. These entries will then be put to a vote in our weekly e-blast! The house with the most votes gets a gift card.
Submissions go to Heather Shay via email at hshay@ccmcnet.com or Mallory Shields at mshields@ccmcnet.com no later than the 15th of each month in which a contest is held.

Feeling lucky? Join us for a few friendly hands of Texas Hold ‘Em and try your luck against friends and neighbors! Players of all skill levels are welcome.  A maximum of 32 participants can register. Buy-in paid at the tournament.

Bingo is back in person and we are celebrating with a huge Bingo Bonanza on the patio! Brian from Excalibur Entertainment will be calling the shots and we aren’t being shy with the prizes! This two-hour event will be filled with fun, music, and winners. Zingers Restaurant will have a drink service at the restaurant bar and there will be food trucks on site ready to serve food. The trucks for the evening will be Downtown Fingers and the Dessert Stand—both of whom will be serving from 4:00pm-7:00pm so come early to order and take your food to the patio to eat before playing Bingo! Join us as Marilyn Nguyen DO talks about how to get the care you need from your PCP. Having a strong relationship with your primary care provider is essential. You will learn how to have conversations with your provider to get the most out of your visit both in-person or virtually. Marilyn believes in caring for her patients with compassion and understanding. From birth to senior, she enjoys treating patients from all phases of life and is an advocate for preventative health care and evidence-based practices. Dr. Nguyen feels that this is the best approach to serve the overall health of her patients. This lecture is brought to you by HTC community sponsor, Centura Health.

Soak up the sunshine and join us on the patio as we move Karaoke outside! Brian from Excalibur Entertainment will be the emcee for the night, ready to hit play and let residents sing their hearts out! Wouldn’t it be nice to know you have the skills to help render aid in an emergency situation? Now is your chance to learn how! You will walk away from this class fully equipped with the knowledge of how to perform life-saving measures. This class includes both a CPR and 1st Aid portion of the training. Join us as HTC Lifestyle and Zingers join forces to host a Drive-In Movie Night on the driving range! The featured movie of the evening will be Field of Dreams. Golf carts are welcome - those without carts will have a seating area in front of carts to spread out on blankets and chairs. There will be a beverage cart down below for easy ordering!

Reservations are required and can be made through the restaurant either in person or by calling 720-685-1011.

Heather Shay (Lifestyle Director), Mallory Shields (Lifestyle/Communications Associate), and Tyler Burk (Front Desk Associate) are moving forward with their life’s journey to invest in their careers or families in a different way. These employees have exemplified how we want our residents to be treated at HTC. They are all invested in our community and have been a valuable part of the CCMC team. I would personally like to invite residents to a light reception in the lobby to say farewell and good luck to Mallory, Heather, and Tyler. Saying goodbye is never easy but we know wherever they go and whatever they do, it will be treasured by those around them.
