BuzzBox Barbers Mobile Barbershop

BuzzBox Mobile Barbershop​ is a new way to get your "grooming on". They bring a mobile shop and are set up for basic cuts. While they don't wash or style, they are ready to help fix a bad quarantine haircut or trim your hair back to its pre-COVID glory. There will be one stylist on site with only one client in the mobile shop at a time to adhere to current guidelines. Book online and be notified 15 minutes before your haircut. It's easy, convenient, and sets you up for success. Do you have mobility issues? Contact Heather (hshay@ccmcnet.com) and let her know you are interested but cannot get into the mobile unit. We are working on setting up some times where they will come into the Clubhouse for those who have access issues.

DIY Make Your Own Citronella Candle with Heather

Summer is on it’s way and that brings bugs who are dying to get a bite, leaving you not able to enjoy your outdoor space as much as you would like. HTC Lifestyle is here to help! We are offering 2 classes on how to make citronella candles that deter those annoying bugs! Heather will cover the basics of candle making, discuss the supplies needed and provide information on essential oils and how to use them to help. She will help you to pick out the right scents and oils for you to enjoy while keeping those pesky bugs away. The cost is $10 per person (which includes supplies to make one candle during the class) and spots are limited. Please RSVP today with the front desk.

Yard of the month is back!

This contest runs in May, June, July, August, and September! Please submit pictures and the address of the house you would like to nominate. These entries will then be put to a vote in our weekly e-blast! The house with the most votes gets a gift card.
Submissions go to Heather Shay via email at hshay@ccmcnet.com or Mallory Shields at mshields@ccmcnet.com no later than the 15th of each month in which a contest is held.

Virtual Music Bingo—Summertime

Join us as we partner with Vegas Pub Quiz for Summertime music bingo! How it works: those wanting to participate must RSVP to the Front Desk, cut-off for RSVPs is the Tuesday before the event at 5:00 pm. When you RSVP, we will need the following information: Your name, phone number, email address (if you do not want to pick cards up in person), and how many people in your home are going to play (each participant will get one card.) We will call participants to let them know when printed cards are ready for pick-up at the Front Desk. You can also elect to have them emailed and print them at home. At 6:00 pm, we will begin the Bingo via Zoom! A list of winners will be given to Heather to distribute the prizes and we will contact winners when prizes are ready for pick-up (within 2 weeks of the event).

Centura Health Virtually Presents: Back Pain - Symptoms and Causes

They will be held via Zoom until the Clubhouse is fully re-open. Then they will be in the Craft Room from 4:00pm to 5:00pm

just like Jeopardy! The Host will ask questions out loud and your team will try to figure out the correct answer! Prizes for 1st Place, 2nd Place, and 2nd to last place! Before the start of each round, the Host will put a link in the chat area of the screen, that link will lead you to the answer sheet for the round. Each round will have a new answer sheet link. Winners will be notified via your Lifestyle Director when prizes are ready for pick-up (within two weeks of the event). Come join us as we kick summer off right! Just a friendly reminder that at this time, all of our events are currently open to residents only, no guests or grandchildren are permitted. We will make an announcement to the community once this changes.

Event line-up:
•    Starting off at 3:00pm will be our Spring Art Show! There will be beautiful artwork created by our own resident artists. The community groups showing their artwork will include but are not limited to the following art media: acrylic, pastel, watercolor, pottery, photography, and more. Please don’t miss the opportunity to see our talented artists! This portion of the event will take place in the Ballroom and extend into the lobby and hallways as needed. 
•    At 4:00pm, our Car Show will begin! All Car Club members and non-members are welcome to participate,  but you must be an HTC resident. We will welcome all cars, trucks, and motorcycles to come to the special blocked-off section of the Clubhouse parking lot. Please have your vehicle there before 4:00pm so we can properly line up all the participants.
•    Also at 4:00pm, we will begin handing out the ice cream for the ice cream social. HTC staff will be set up in the lobby ready to serve up some delicious treats! Please RSVP to the Front Desk with how many are in your party (remember, residents only) so that we can have an accurate idea for purchasing ice cream. Ice cream will be individually packaged for health and safety purposes.
•    Mango Salsa will hit the patio with live music from 5:00pm-8:00pm. Those wishing to eat may reserve a patio table through the restaurant. If you are not planning on eating, there will be some first-come, first-serve tables down on the lower level of the patio and open seating in the grass. Please note that chairs are not provided in the grass area so residents are asked to bring their own chairs/blankets for seating.
•    Lastly, the HTC Women’s Club will be set up with a table for their annual membership drive from 3:00pm-6:00pm.  You can find them in the lobby.
