December 15 is the anniversary of the discovery of the South Pole by Roald Amundsen, "the last of the Vikings." The race to the South Pole was one of the greatest international races prior to the race to the moon and was full of tragedy and triumph. It featured tiny, newly independent Norway against the British Empire, upon which the "sun never set." It was David vs Goliath. Join us as we tell the gripping story of those who perished and prevailed in this epic quest!

BuzzBox Mobile Barbershop​ is a new way to get your "grooming on". They bring a mobile shop and are set up for basic cuts. While they don't wash or style, they are ready to help fix a bad quarantine haircut or trim your hair back to its pre-COVID glory. There will be one stylist on site with only one client in the mobile shop at a time to adhere to current guidelines. Book online and be notified 15 minutes before your haircut. It's easy, convenient, and sets you up for success.

They will be held via Zoom until the Clubhouse is fully re-open. Then they will be in the Craft Room from 2 pm-4 pm.

Virtual Music Bingo—Oldie’s

Join us as we partner with Vegas Pub Quiz for Oldie’s music bingo! How it works: those wanting to participate must RSVP to the Front Desk, cut off for RSVPs is the Tuesday before (March 16th) at 5:00 pm. When you RSVP, we will need the following information: Your name, phone number, email address (if you do not want to pick cards up in person) and how many people in your home are going to play (each participant will get one card.) We will call participants to let them know when printed cards are ready for pick-up at the Front Desk. You can also elect to have them emailed and print them at home. At 6:00 pm, we will begin the Bingo via Zoom! A list of winners will be given to Heather to distribute the prizes and we will contact winners when prizes are ready for pick-up (within 2 weeks of the event).

Home and Garden Show Grab Bags
Thursday, April 22nd  |  Bags will be available to grab in the Clubhouse Lobby (please only 1 per household)  |  No RSVP needed, while supplies last
Planning on doing some home upgrades in the near future? To maintain safety, we have elected to hold the Home and Garden Show in the same fashion as we did last year, with goodie bags! We have over 200 bags filled with items from our Home and Garden Show participating sponsors. We have over 20 vendors from varying services and categories. There are information items as well as swag items so don’t miss out and be sure to head up to get your bag! We are not taking RSVP’s and the bags will be distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis. If you are interested in being a sponsor, please contact either Heather (hshay@ccmcnet.com) by April 9th.

Jeff Harms has been performing comedy since 1979. After graduating with a Master’s degree in Theatre from the University of Denver, he found himself teaching school, acting in dozens of plays and musicals and performing in various improv and sketch comedy groups. After watching an evening of live stand-up on a Monday night, he decided to give it a shot. All these years later (and counting!), he is still trying to get it right. Since 1997 Jeff has been one of Norwegian Cruise Line’s highest rated comedians. Regular food menu will be available for those wishing to eat—no specials.

Spring Show Us Your Wheels Parade with the HTC Car Club
Saturday, April 24th  |  Meet in Clubhouse Parking Lot starting at 9:30 am  |  Starts at 10:00 am

The HTC Car Club is once again having a Spring Show Us Your Wheels Parade. We welcome any HTC resident to participate with your car, truck, motorcycle. Let’s show off those classics, antique, sportscars, and hot rods! As we did last year, you are welcome to have your golf cart in the parade too. The parade will be an HTC resident event only and we will try to cover as many of the streets as possible. We plan to meet at the clubhouse parking lot between 9:30 and 10:00 with a 10:00am start. This will be a great way to kick off the Spring/Summer season here in HTC! Please note that you only need to be a resident of HTC to participate, you do not have to be a member of the car club. We also invite all of the HTC residents to be outside to cheer on all the parade participants.

Family Feud Trivia
Wednesday, April 28th  |  Door Opening at 4:30pm  |  Trivia from 6:00pm-8:00pm   |  $5 per person  |  RSVP to the Front Desk—up to 6 people per team, those without teams will be put at a table and assigned team members
Ever watch Family Feud on TV and think, “that would be fun”?  Now is your chance to play!  Join HTC Lifestyle as we partner with Zingers Restaurant to bring Brian Collins of Excalibur Entertainment to HTC for a Family Feud style trivia night. You and your team of 6 get to answer questions based on what you think the top survey answers are. For example – question: Name something people are afraid of?  Top Survey Answers: Spiders, Heights, Other people, Dying, The dark, Ghosts, Snakes, The IRS, Being alone, Their boss/getting fired. Gather your team of 6 and RSVP today! If you don’t have teammates, we will have tables set aside for those who need teammates. It’s $5 per person to play and prizes will be provided to the 1st and 2nd place teams. Zingers will be serving food to tables so come early and eat before you play!

Join us as we bring back Karaoke! The microphone will be sanitized between each singer and we have microphone covers as well. Face masks recommended but not required for those singing. Seating is open and first-come, first-serve.
