Eco-cycle is one of the nation’s oldest and largest nonprofit recyclers. Rosie will go over the “why” of recycling and Zero Waste, and why we care about it as a climate solution. She will also discuss the most problematic contaminants in the recycling, and answer all your questions about what you CAN put in your recycling bin! At the end of the presentation, she will have a Q and A to help clarify and answer any additional questions.

Looking to brighten your front door or maybe one in your home for the upcoming holiday? There are 6 wreaths to choose from, ranging from Merry Christmas to Happy Hanukkah! One of these wreaths is sure to be perfect! Heritage Todd Creek Lifestyle is working with Cat Nowak to provide a unique opportunity this holiday to make a wreath or purchase one to put together! Feeling crafty? Cat does all the cutting and will provide you with YouTube videos to walk you through the process. Running short on time or just simply not the crafty type? We are going to put together a holiday light map specific for viewing holiday decorations and lighting within HTC! If you would like your house to be added to our map to show off your display, sign up at the Front Desk. You can also submit addresses of houses that you feel display the holiday spirit! We are hoping for a list to help spread joy and give people something to do safely! The deadline to add an address is Monday, December 7th!

Spruce up your holiday season by joining in on our two decorating contests! We will have an "ugly" mask contest (think ugly sweater but more 2020!) and a wooden ornament decorating contest. The masks and wooden ornaments are available for purchase at the Front Desk for $5 each, supplies to decorate not included. Those participating and wishing to enter their mask or ornament into the contest for the potential to win a prize must submit photos to Heather or Mallory no later than Friday, December 11th. The voting link will go out in our Thursday, December 17th e-blast so that residents may vote for their favorites! There will be prizes for 1st and 2nd place of each type (mask and ornament). Supplies are limited so hurry up to the Clubhouse to get your mask and/or wooden ornament today!

There is no fee to register - simply decorate the exterior of your home and yard in a festive holiday fashion. Neighbors take note of those showing off and submit them as a contestant! Prizes will be given out for first and second place! Submissions must be in by December 15th to be eligible. Join us as we partner with Vegas Pub Quiz for Holiday Themed Bingo! How it works: those wanting to participate must RSVP to the Front Desk, cut off for RSVPs is the Tuesday before at 5:00pm. When you RSVP, we will need the following information: Your name, phone number, email address (if you do not want to pick cards up in person) and how many people in your home are going to play (each participant will get one card.) Cards will need to be picked up at the Front Desk and we will call participants to let them know when they are ready for pick-up. You can also elect to have them emailed and print them at home. For those having their cards emailed, they will be sent on the day of the event by 4:00pm. At 6:00pm, we will begin the Bingo via Zoom! A list of winners will be given to Heather to distribute the prizes and we will contact winners when prizes are ready for pick-up (within 2 weeks of the event).

Gingerbread Decorating Contest - partnered with HTC Women's Club

The HTC Women's Club is partnering with HTC Lifestyle to launch a gingerbread house decorating contest. This contest is open to all residents of HTC.
The rules are simple:
1) Use your imagination - any style of gingerbread house structure may be entered. (Traditional houses, churches, dog houses, igloos, train stations, lighthouses, trains, etc.). This is your house, have fun with it.
2) All visible items (except for the base) used to construct your gingerbread
house must be edible. Purchased kits are acceptable.
3) Only one entry per household. Families are encouraged to work together with you on your entry. There is also a prize for grandchildren.
4) When you are ready, send a picture(s) to Kathy Thweatt. She will post the entries on the HTC Women’s Club website. Everyone in our community will be able to vote for their favorites. Please include your name, e-mail address, and phone number with your entry.

Join us as we partner with Vegas Pub Quiz for Pixar Trivia! Here’s how it works: Virtual Pub Quiz is just like Jeopardy! The Host will ask questions out loud and your team will try to figure out the correct answer! Prizes for 1st Place, 2nd Place, and 2nd to last place! Before the start of each round, the Host will put a link in the chat area of the screen, that link will lead you to the answer sheet for the round. Each round will have a new answer sheet link. Movie and Reading Challenges End

At the beginning of the pandemic, we started reading and movie challenges to help give people something to do! We are now nearing the end of 2020 and it is time to get your forms turned in! We will be doing raffle-prize drawings for those who turn in their forms! Please have your forms turned into the Front Desk by January 4th.
