OLLI - Hidden Colorado

Description:
The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) is a program through the University of Denver. Courses include history, science, literature, performing arts, public affairs and philosophy. For the past 26 years OLLI at DU has offered up fun and fascinating adult education courses specially designed for people 50 and older. OLLI is a warm and inviting place to learn at your own pace and where there are no grades, and no one fails! OLLI is a community of lifelong learners because curiosity never retires!

Join in a discussion, slide show and exploration of what makes Denver and Colorado such a great place to live. I guarantee you will learn about places you never knew about even if you are a multi-generation native!
 
  • Find out where to go with grandkids for simple fun times, such as a free playground with an interactive sculpture park or a new splash pad.
  • Talk about the changes in Colorado tourism over the past 40 years and history, geography, and topography of the Centennial State. 
  • Slides and discussion about scenic and historic places around the centennial state.
 
Presenter: Bruce Caughey
 
 
Bruce has a compelling interest in travel, especially in his lifelong home of Colorado. He co-authored The Colorado Guide, a bestseller with 700-pages, five editions and more than 250,000 copies in print. Bruce also co-authored Colorado’s Best and Crete: Off the Beaten Track as well as dozens of freelance projects in magazines and newspapers, including Frontier Inflight Magazine, AAA Magazine, and National Geographic Traveler. He is a career educator and an instructor and consultant for OLLI at DU.
