Colorado's End-of-Life Options Act (Proposition 106), active since 2016 and updated in 2024, allows terminally ill, mentally capable adult residents with six months or less to live to legally request and self-administer medication to end their lives. The process requires two physicians to confirm the prognosis, mental competency, and voluntary nature of the request.
