HTC Photography Club Meeting February 10, 2026

 

Whether you are a beginning or advanced photographer, if you enjoy taking pictures come to the Photo Club's meetings.

 

Our next Meeting is on February 10th at 6:30 PM in the Blue Sage Room.

 

Feb 10th – How to Make an Average Photo Stand Out: This month at the club, we’ll dive into practical ways to take an average photo and make it stand out. We’ll explore topics like equipment choices, what really makes a “great” image, composition, depth of field, and exposure.

 

The information in this discussion will be useful whether you shoot with a phone, a mirrorless camera, or a DSLR—and whether you’re just getting started or have been shooting for years.

We’ll also set aside time for an open Q&A period covering any photographic topic (not 

camera specific) that you have a question about or would like to know more about. 

 

What’s Happening in 2026? – We’ll look at several areas we haven’t covered in a while.

 

a.     Basic Photo Editing: We’ll cover basic photo editing software you have on your smartphone and included in your computer operating system.

b.     DSLR Camera Fundamentals: Let’s break down what you have on your DSLR camera. A friend of mine describes it as a computer with a neck strap.
