AARP Smart Driver™ Course 
 
The newly updated driving refresher course from AARP Driver Safety will be offered at Heritage Todd Creek Club House. The class will be taught by certified volunteer instructor Gary Murphy.
 
Since 1979, AARP Driver Safety has helped more than 20 million people stay safe, educated and confident on the road. AARP Smart Driver course participants will learn:
· Valuable defensive driving skills
· Proven safety strategies
· How to stay current with the latest driving technologies
· The current rules of the road, specific to your community
· How to manage and accommodate common age-related changes in vision, hearing and reaction time
This course now includes new videos and updated course content, so you will have the most up-to date information for your state!
 
Many participants may be eligible for a multi-year insurance discount after taking the course. Participants are encouraged to check with their insurance agent to see if they are eligible. There are no tests required to pass the course. The course is approved by the Colorado Department of Revenue.

• 9:00 AM until 1:00 PM
• Capped at 24
• Open to HTC residents only
• All classroom materials are included, such as the Participant Guidebook and Worksheet.
• Cost is $20 for AARP members, $25 for non-members
• Payment to be made at the class by cash or check, payable to AARP
• Please arrive 15 minutes early to complete the registration form
