Intermediate Spanish Class

INSTRUCTOR BIO Kathy Lamos, now retired, has worked in higher education for many years, teaching classes in English as a Second Language and Spanish and working in administrative positions. She has also taught adult Spanish classes at Colorado Free University and the Academy for Lifelong Learning. She enjoys learning and teaching Spanish, travel, and getting the chance to learn more about countries and people with diverse cultures and perspectives on the world.
Are you ready to take your Spanish skills to the next level? Converse more with the Spanish-speaking people here in our community? Handle yourself better while visiting a Spanish-speaking country?
Designed for those with a basic Spanish vocabulary and knowledge of the present tense, this course provides you with a chance to practice and improve your Spanish together with others.
We will use the textbook Easy Spanish Step-by-Step. This class is a follow-on to previous classes, so we will begin with Chapter 7 in the textbook. The text presents grammar and conversation in a logical order so that you can develop your language skills naturally. Vocabulary and grammar have been selected based on their usefulness and frequency. Readings are included in each chapter of the book.

Then moving on to golf-specific exercises to enhance each phase of your stroke. Lastly, we will finish with mobility work to keep your body moving well, and playing injury free. Now is a great time to get started as we transition into fall and winter. This course is offered during the golf season to keep yourself sharp, as well as during the winter to strengthen your skills before the next season.

Comedy Show with Zac Maas

Zac Maas's first comedy album hit #1 on the iTunes and Amazon comedy charts in 2023. He has also appeared on Spaghetti High on Adult Swim. He is on the Pro list at The World Famous Comedy Works in Denver, where he lives, and one of the 50 best-undiscovered comedians in the country, according to Thrillist.
HTC Comedy Night: Laughs with Zac Maas!
Join us for a fun-filled evening of comedy and community! Our PG-13 Comedy Night features the hilarious Zac Maas, whose quick wit and relatable humor are sure to leave you in stitches. Two other talented comedians, Brett Hiker from NYC and Steve Vanderploeg (another Denver Comedy Works pro!) will also take the stage, bringing their own unique styles to keep the laughs rolling all night long.
